Barry M lip paint in pillar box red

February 7, 2013

Is there a color you feel drawn to when you first decide which to pick out of a collection? For some it’s nude, some it’s a bright pink, some go for natural. For me, the color I feel most drawn to is the brightest red available, even though I don’t feel like bright reds suit me I just can’t help myself. So naturally, when it came to spending my Littlewoods rewards I bought the cheapest red lipstick available and that was Barry M’s pillar box red for 4.49.

Not everyone loves the bulky square packaging included with barry M lip paints but I love them. The lipstick itself is highly pigmented and true to its color. I find that the formula accentuates dryness on the lips, it doesn’t glide on like I like my lipsticks too, infact it drags on the lips. This lipstick is super pretty but you need to moisturize and exfoliate your lips before using it, other than that I’ve no complaints and love this lipstick!

I’d recommend this product if you don’t mind something dryer but pigmented. I enjoy exfoliating and moisturizing my lips every day so I don’t really have a problem with dryness, but if you do this lipstick may not be for you. What do you think of the color? Would you buy this lipstick? What’s your go-to red?
